Is the moon really following me?
How can you explain that the moon looks follow me?
In fact, the moon doesn’t follow me. For example, if I go forward with a car, the landscape seems to move backwards. If the car moves forward 10 meters, the landscape moves backwards exactly within 10 meters.
The same is true of the moon we see. If I walk forward, the moon moves back. If I walk 10 meters forward, the moon will move back exactly 10 meters. However, it is very difficult to notice that the moon moves 10 meters. Because the moon is quite far away.
In other words, the moon doesn’t follow me. It just moves behind me like a landscape. Little by little.
