Video motion analysis (Multi-flash photography, Stroboscope)

This app is

  • Web-based software that converts video footage of an object’s motion into multi-flash photography.
  • This program analyzes the movement of objects captured on video frame by frame.
  • It may not work on Apple devices or in-app browsers.
  • You can upload and analyze the video you shot yourself. We recommend mp4 as the video format.
  • To get a clear picture, please take the picture in a place with plenty of light (bright).

multi-flash photography

Multi-flash photography (or stroboscopy) is a technique for recording the movement of objects that has long been used.
In a darkened room, such as a darkroom, the camera shutter is opened, and the flash (strobe) is fired periodically. This causes the light reflected from the object while the flash is on to be superimposed on the camera film and recorded.
Consequently, the movement of an object over several hours can be recorded on a single piece of film.

Stroboscope (Video motion analysis)

Recently, the spread of smart devices has made it possible to take multi-flash photos without any special hardware easily.
