Particle Simulation of Thermal Conduction

About this simulation

  1. This simulation shows the particle’s temperature by its color.
    ● Red means high temperature.
    ● Blue means low temperature.
  2. We apply Hooke’s law between particles.(\(f=-kx\))

Thermal Conduction

Conduction is a method of transfer of heat that occurs primarily in solids.
For example, a spoon dipped in hot water will receive heat from the part submerged in water, gradually warming the entire spoon.
The particles that make up such a hot object are actively moving, transmitting the vibrations of the particles to other adjacent particles.
