Constellations and distance to stars
If you look at the sky where there is no light on a clear night, there are so many stars that can not count. Thousands of years ago, the ancients linked stars to create constellations named after animals, objects, and mythical figures. Each star in the constellation is in the similar direction. But, distances to the stars are different from each other. There is no real connection between the constellation stars.
Constellations evolved into different forms depending on the region and civilization. Therefore, there was various confusion about displaying the star’s position using the constellation. Currently, 88 standard constellations are specified and used.
